Open Solutions’ Data Processing Technology

Improved member service, stronger member loyalty and security of personal

information key drivers in technology decision

GLASTONBURY, Conn., March 13, 2007 – Cranbrook, British Columbia-based East Kootenay Community Credit Union has selected Open Solutions Inc.’s® relational core technology, The Complete Credit Union Solution®, to support the credit union’s long-term direction and growth initiatives. East Kootenay Community Credit Union serves its 9,500 members through three branches located in British Columbia, Canada.

The credit union is a long-time client of Open Solutions Canada and will continue running its data processing services through the company’s data centre in Vancouver. In addition to The Complete Credit Union Solution, the credit union will implement Open Solutions’ financial accounting suite, which includes general ledger, accounts payable and fixed assets.

Built on a single, centralized Oracle® relational database, The Complete Credit Union Solution is a member-centric platform that offers credit unions of all sizes the technology tools they need to succeed in a highly competitive financial services marketplace. Its open architecture gives financial institutions the flexibility to be responsive to member and market needs by easily adding new products and services. The Canadian version of The Complete Credit Union Solution localized the core banking product for the overall Canadian market with a particular focus in three areas: retirement accounts, regulatory requirements, and loan and mortgage processing.
